The Ginger Bean Design Company was set up by creative artist, Jeannie Duncanson. Her work has been exhibited, commissioned and sold at different locations around the UK. In addition her work was on show and auctioned at two large charity events at The Royal Society of Arts and The Deloitte Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
Jeannie designs and paints on a range of different materials. The slate products are individually hand painted and the paint used is heat resistant. Each piece of slate is hand cut and chosen for its unique grain. Her designs won her the 'Designer Kitchenware' Award in 2013.
Different types of mixed-media are used to create unusual and creative Artwork. Prints of some of the artwork are available too.
Jeannie has combined both companies into one. she has designed puzzles with a difference, to aid with Neurological issues. Large pieces, made in Acrylic, robust, easy to clean making them hygienic. Images to evoke a memory and stimulate a conversation. These are ideal for anyone suffering with dementia or any other neurological problem.
A variety of designs are painted onto quality slate that Jeannie has obtained from a British Company. Each piece is hand cut, then chosen for its unique grain. The paint used has a bonding agent within it, making the paint heat resistant. Different sizes available.
Merchandise section includes glass boards. They can be used as a chopping board, place mat or presenting cheese. A mixture of fun designs available. Each board has small rubber feet underneath to protect the table.
